Research

We are frequently asked to help students conducting research as part of their HR degrees, such as CIPD, MA, M.Phil. etc.

"I discovered develop uk back in July 2004 when starting the research for my CIPD Management Report. My chosen topic was 'Making HR Strategic and Value Adding' I was fascinated with the concept of HR Business Partnering, and develop uk were more than happy to share their research and challenge my thoughts and ideas. Since changing jobs in October 2004 to my current role, a key objective has been to re-structure and strengthen the HR function. I have used the knowledge and research gained for my report to embark on the Business Partner journey, and as this journey continues, all of my new Business Partners have attended various develop uk workshops. These have proved to be invaluable in cementing the concept of Partnering and providing them with the much needed tools to effectively grow into the role. So, for me the relationship with develop uk has proved to be really worthwhile not only from a research point of view, but also from a practical point of view. develop uk have been a catalyst and enabler of change within my HR Function."

Olivia Cooper, HR Director, AEA Technology plc

In addition, we are conducting research into different models of HR Partnering within organisations and frequently are asked to provide articles and case studies for the academic press.
